Jason Griffin

As a Forvis Mazars director, Jason provides tax planning, accounting, and consulting services for a wide variety of clients, including corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and individuals across all Forvis Mazars service areas, with a primary focus on manufacturing and distribution and construction and real estate.

His more than 11 years of experience includes income tax provision calculations, consolidated returns, mergers and acquisitions, services for private equity groups and their portfolio companies, family-owned businesses, and companies with international operations and ownership.

Jason has served as an instructor for Camp Forvis Mazars, assisting with immersive training for firmwide new hires, and has been a speaker at numerous external continuing professional education events.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Missouri Society of CPAs.

Jason is a member of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce. He serves as treasurer and board member for the Joplin Humane Society and the Ozarks Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association.

He is a 2011 graduate of Pittsburg State University, Kansas, with a B.B.A. degree in accounting.

Stephanie Hurt
Stephanie is a senior portfolio manager and member of the Forvis Mazars Private Client Investment Committee. She has worked in the wealth management industry since 2000 and has been with Forvis Mazars since 2007. Stephanie concentrates primarily on the investment management needs of high-net-worth families and institutions. She is responsible for the portfolio construction and maintenance of the client portfolios under her management, communicating investment concepts to various audiences and contributing to setting the investment strategy for the firm.

Before joining Forvis Mazars Private Client™, she was a portfolio manager for the wealth management group of a large national bank and an associate portfolio manager for an independent trust company.

Stephanie is a member of the CFA Institute and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder. The CFA® charter is a globally recognized designation that requires completing three exams testing on the fundamentals of investment tools, valuing assets, portfolio management, and wealth planning. In addition, CFA charterholders must meet minimums for qualifying work experience.

She sits on Missouri State University’s Finance, Economics, and Risk Management Advisory Board and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks Investment Advisory Board. Stephanie is a member of Rotary Club of Springfield, where she has previously served as co-sarge and board member. She is a past board vice chair and trustee legacy ambassador for the Missouri chapter of The Nature Conservancy. In 2016, Springfield Business Journal named her one of “40 Under 40” in the local business community and, in 2017, recognized her as a Trusted Adviser in the Wealth Manager category.

Stephanie is a summa cum laude graduate of Missouri State University Honors College, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in finance.
